More Summer Fun...

Sunday was fun. First we made homemade lemonade. It was better than I imagined! I'm not much for lemonade, but I enjoyed this batch so much. However, with lemons at $0.42 each, we will not make this too much of a tradition. I wonder if we could grow a lemon tree here.

Once our lemonade passed the taste test, we packed a couple of lemonade filled sippy cups and went swimming at Mrs. Taylor's pool and tried out Savannah's new Puddle Jumper. We will definitely be getting another one for Crews as well. Savannah jumped off the diving board so many times that I lost count. Every time she would say, "don't let my head go under, okay?"

I did not take our camera to the pool, but I wish I had. Here are a few pictures of Savannah and Crews riding their scooters. They have enjoyed those things, inside the house and out!

There will be many repeats of these activities, it's just nice to live this summer with "intention" - as the McMaths would say. ;)

Saturday Fun

We started our summer list today. First we made sidewalk paint with cornstarch, water, and food coloring. It turned out well. But, wait...I hear a "rellacopter!" They realized that it was more fun to pour the paint out and spread it around than the usual method of painting. Here's the finished product.... Then we admired our tomatoes... and bellpeppers.... Then we started to tie dye. There was a huge down pouring of rain, so we had to move our efforts to the carport. I soon realized that maybe the tie dying is not age appropriate for a 4 year old. We both have permanent dye on our hands and legs. It will be worth it when Savi and Crews can wear our creations....

Next up, home made lemonade!

Summer 2010

I was inspired by this list from last year, so Savi and I sat down a couple of weeks ago and made our list. You can see our results at the right. I am not sure that they are all season appropriate, however we put everything on the list that we could possibly want to do. Chase thinks our list sounds nice but "expensive." I am going to try to Dave Ramsey this summer as much as possible while hopefully facilitating some really great memories for Savannah and Crews. If you have not seen Whatever's site, you will most likely be sucked in and addicted. If you are like me and attracted visually to blogs by beautiful photography, you'll want to "plunder" in this one a while. My 3 favorite sites are all photographers/mothers. FlyLady update: I have to admit I have taken a break in the last 2 weeks, and I can really tell a difference. I have not left off my weekly home blessings though. :) ***Does anyone know how to make paragraph breaks in blogger? I can't get it to work so I'm just using random photos currently.
