More home inspiration...

These all came from myhomeideas.com and are from various magazines. That's what I like about this site - they pull all of my favorite magazines together and show me all of their best pictures. :) So here are some things I liked today...

I don't know if I could ever do it, but I love painted wood floors!

I love the colors in this room - I think I must have a red coffee table soon!

The 2 twin bed and bunk bed pictures are for my brainstorming on how to set up a room for kids to share. I like the tall wainscoting on this one.

This bathroom looks so relaxing. I must be leaning towards blues, greens, yellows, and reds!

absolutely love the colored island!!!

love this ceiling

love the colors!

back to colored furniture and white walls, there's just something about it that I like.

Hummingbirds galore

We have had so many hummingbirds lately! We love it! Chase is the official "filler-upper" and he has to fill it up every day. There are 12+ birds that hang out at our house. They are not bothered at all by the Cottons. They just keep right on searching for their sugar water. Chase said he may need to start wearing goggles when he replaces the nectar for the swarms. Right now in this video, we need to fill it up, b/c the only juice left is in the very bottom, so they are particularly swarming to get the last drop just like kids.

In other events, these two are all set and ready to rescue the endangered and say "trick or treat!"

home inspiration

I have lots of remodeling/revamping on my mind...I guess it's the hint of fall that is in the air - or at least it was on Monday morning a little. I loved Cottage Living magazine and I miss it. I think my ideal house would be a cottage with a porch that wraps around just one side. Anyways, here are some things that make me happy when I look at them. I think we will definitely have to go with white cabinets and white subway tile in our kitchen when the time comes to re-do it. It seems to be the only kitchen style that I love every time I see it.

Wouldn't it be fun to paint your piano to match your room?

"I like time - out !!!!"

Those were Savi's exact words while in time-out today. Fun times...

She had her first jazz class recently and loved it. She said that was her favorite part of class, which also includes tap and ballet.

Crews walked up to me wearing Chase's boots and said, "I'm Daddy!" I said, "Hey Daddy, I'm so glad you're home from work! You've got to go to church now and do the sound!" (b/c those are the 2 places he goes when he's "Daddy.") He turned around and waved bye and said, "Bye Frewsie! Don't fry wittle frewsie!" (translation: Don't cry little Crewsie) :) He loves his daddy!

I love a good imagination!

My summer find

One of my favorite summer finds is a variety of Method cleaning products.

They smell great! They are non-toxic! So now when Savi asks to help clean the answer is - YES! (I used to only let her have a spray bottle with water in it.)

Here are my favorites...

Now for the one, and probably only negative product review...don't waste your money on this little one.

Just load up on the others. I can't say enough good things about them. I can only find them at Target, but I guess I could order online if I wanted and have them sent right to my door. I enjoy the trip to Target way to much for that I think!

"Hotlanta"

We went to visit Raine and Lauren earlier this summer and had a great time. Here are several of our fun memories. It was very, very hot there - as it is here.

First: Imagine That Children's Museum of Atlanta Next: Museum of Natural History - Fernbank Museum (This is where everyone thought I wanted to go when I was trying to get us to Imagine That. Once we got there, I told Chase that I didn't think we had gone to the right place. But we had fun and then we headed to Imagine That.) Next: Aquarium

(this is Uncle Raine for those who may not know)

Now, I am way - way behind on posting from this summer! We have accomplished almost all of our summer list. I will try to update soon, but here's what we have done so far...

Aquarium

Children's museum

go to parks

slip and slide

beach

feed birds

Micheal Buble' concert

"picnic"

collect seashells

watch sunset

pick and eat blueberries

paint pottery at seaside

art camp

tumbling camp

make a necklace and bracelet

***Savannah has decided that we will not camp this year - "maybe when she's older" she says.
