Saturday Fun

We started our summer list today. First we made sidewalk paint with cornstarch, water, and food coloring. It turned out well. But, wait...I hear a "rellacopter!" They realized that it was more fun to pour the paint out and spread it around than the usual method of painting. Here's the finished product.... Then we admired our tomatoes... and bellpeppers.... Then we started to tie dye. There was a huge down pouring of rain, so we had to move our efforts to the carport. I soon realized that maybe the tie dying is not age appropriate for a 4 year old. We both have permanent dye on our hands and legs. It will be worth it when Savi and Crews can wear our creations....

Summer 2010

I was inspired by this list from last year, so Savi and I sat down a couple of weeks ago and made our list. You can see our results at the right. I am not sure that they are all season appropriate, however we put everything on the list that we could possibly want to do. Chase thinks our list sounds nice but "expensive." I am going to try to Dave Ramsey this summer as much as possible while hopefully facilitating some really great memories for Savannah and Crews. If you have not seen Whatever's site, you will most likely be sucked in and addicted. If you are like me and attracted visually to blogs by beautiful photography, you'll want to "plunder" in this one a while. My 3 favorite sites are all photographers/mothers. FlyLady update: I have to admit I have taken a break in the last 2 weeks, and I can really tell a difference. I have not left off my weekly home blessings though. :) ***Does anyone know how to make paragraph breaks in blogger? I can't get it to work so I'm just using random photos currently.

FLY lady

If you have not come across the FLY lady yet, please go by and check it out. My house, complete with two toddlers and busy-busy things had become what she refers to as CHAOS..."can't have anyone over syndrome." :) Well, not anymore...I have started doing her babysteps and routines and it really works. I had realized last year that my sink and counters are the areas in my house that can make me feel stressed if they are cluttered. So the first babystep was great! I have kept the sink shining! What a stress relief it is to look at the sink dish free and clean. Maybe I will post my shiny sink picture this week.

Happy Times

This week has been so much fun! We have celebrated Valentine's Day at school and MeMe's, PaPa's, and Great-Granddaddy's Birthdays. Yesterday we celebrated SNOW! It was so much fun! We had the best time playing. Snowmen were built. "Mr. Snowball" was thrown many many times. Snow was caught on our tongues. Many smiles and laughs were had. Tomorrow we will celebrate our love! All ready for the very rainy weather earlier this week. Savi Sue made these Valentine's for her friends - so cute !

These pictures are from a few months ago...I know both of my children are probably too old to still use a paci at night(okay, they are definitely too old)...but isn't it nice to be surrounded by that much sleepy sweetness! I love sleeping babies and toddlers!

Watching the most beautiful ocean I have ever seen - of coarse it changed in 24 hours - but while it lasted, it was like being on an exotic island only an hour & 30 mins away from home!!

Ice Age: "Dino" the Dinosaur (as Savi calls it) was fun - I had to cover her ears for most of it though - she has never been much for loud noises.

We finished up with some cotton candy with sprinkles ice cream to make the day complete.

We love her photography! She is so good with children. I hope to have a more up to date photo up soon. I'll leave you with this...Savannah said today, "Look Mama, I made you a callapitter!!!" So cute! I love it! I may never tell her the correct way to say it! (Does anyone know how to separate my lines without it looking like one big paragraph?)
